The Colors of God

The shining power of His
electric-blue on white
more power than a wall switch
and surer than a lightning strike,

The finest red of His love
like a mist of blood
spraying from the spear thrust in His side
where He took on our wounds
our pain and death
His sacrifice for our lives,

The light green of His mercy
like a shoot sprung up
from a mountain of dung
the renewal of life His surest
Grace, a mercy,
Finally, a color of His, or not,
I do not know,
but one Fe surely has shown me C
a blend of the above and All
the other colors of the Universe
to create the deepest,
darkest,
most despairing
black
that shows us the mirror
of our Soul.

So, that,
the next time we see Him,
alone or in our brethren
we may recognize something Other
than ourselves.
