EVOLUTION

E-Mail   by Willie Christopher Tucker   Bio/Address

What is it that commands such change?

that which makes us rearrange

is this powerful thing celestial

in bits and pieces

are we compelled to evolve-

stoic stone ruins and cold tangled steel

survives longer than current philosophies

divided kingdoms and hierarchies

The things that the huddled masses worship

in time some will pass

for new thought and ideas replace the old

in retrospect none will last

the young will grow

the old will die

flowers will bloom

and children will become old

and they too will die

Is this the beginning

or the end of change

everything evolves

and nothing stays the same
