Attorney Confessional

E-Mail     By Abu Hassan    Bio/Address

After you got busted

you came to me as a last resort,

but before I was your counsel

I was an "officer of the court."

You hired me as your mouthpiece

from jail to keep you out,

with my expertise in lying

whenever I open my mouth.

You say you're innocent

but I convinced you to take a deal,

about the injustice you've suffered

my eyes, ears, lips are sealed.

From your prison cell injustice

you say you want to appeal,

but the fact remains poor sucker

you're buried under brick and steel.

Yeah, you're in the penitentiary

and the public thinks it's funny,

and there you shall rust and rot

until you send me more money.

Although you're innocent

and busted and falsely blamed,

no one really gives a damn

that by the legal system you were framed.

Just Us -not Justice- is the issue

someone had to take the fall,

I'm in it for the $$$$$

am I not a lawyer, after all?

And political expedience being as is

while injustice refuses to budge,

I'm an actor in courtroom showbiz

and may one day be a Judge.
