REHABILITATION "2001"

E-mail     By Gary D. Jackson    Bio/Address

Alone in this cage

Humanity slowly dying

Lost in the pain

That loneliness brings

I damn the silence

The memories

Each word spoken

Every promise broken

Mental wounds lie bleeding

That time will never heal

I scream into the darkness

No one hears my cries

My cries for help echo

Echoes are my replies

I damn the voices

Whispers of all I've lost

Suffocating loneliness comes again

Insanity beckons

My only friend

Empty nothingness calling me

Screaming out my agony

Hatred fills my screams

Violence fills my dreams

My soul continues crying

Crying for my release

Screaming against this reality

Screams that never cease

Insanity my only relief

Deep within this prison

    within a prison

        within me…
