MY LITTLE WORLD

Mine is a dark and cold world, into which scant sunshine can fall, or ever even dares to be fully seen. This cold runs into my veins, darkness, my only true friend.
Mine is an indifferent kind of world, it's where everyone is treated as a number. Individuality considered insolence, and suppressed at every opportunity.
Mine is an empty world, filled with nothing but sorrow and regret. For which we have only ourselves to blame. Choice is a carrot on a sharp stick, leading to the dark damp hole. |
Mine is a hostile world, where kindness is weakness, and violence the only solution given. A life is worth mere pennies, second chances cost more than money.
Mine is a brutal dying world, making people into human pin cushions, or bleeding punching bags. In the outside world this life isn't acceptable.
Mine is not a gentle world, at least not to a sane person, but I must leave here a kindly soul. Trudging through the real world, carrying an even more tolerant heart. |
