ONLY YOU

E-Mail   By Willie Christopher Tucker   Bio/Address

I’ll never forsake you-

Interestingly enough,

Truth and stuff.

I want to see more,

A visionary wondering

Through lies and tangled weave-

Painted canvas, lips of fire red

Forget me not or forget you never

Almost another black day of-

Whether,

Your eyebrows are arched

Or your legs are shaved

I want to see more.

See if I was a player

I wouldn’t recognize,

Your true gifts - your eyes.

Over and over fondling your…

Passionate beyond belief this year-

I fear

Thangs gon’ change.

Almost another black day of-

Whether-captivated by your mind

Or intrigued by your speech

Interestingly enough,

Truth and stuff.

Out all night, out of sight-

When the cat’s away the mice will play.

Sex, lies and peaches and cream,

Cheating, freaking and lost focus on love

The American dream.

It took me a long time to find you,

Years and years

Through blood, sweat and lonely nights

Of tears.

Like a visionary wondering-

I saw you long before our paths crossed,

Fused to the surrounding landscape

Like molten lava.

Right now I’m smiling

Because this game of life

Gives me an opportunity to spread my wings

And fly so high-where angels dare to tread.

Interestingly enough,

I want to see more-

No cheating, no lies,

Truth and only

Your stuff.
