From deep within, these

           words I tore,

of this lifeless dungeon

           that I abhor.

Night after night,

           on bended knee,

I beseeched my God

           to set me free.

In vain I begged,

           all for naught,

As I've sewn,

           so I've wrought.

So here am I,

           among society's foes,

Recording this hell

            in my prison prose.
