The Season Has Changed Donny Ingraham |
|
Crying whispers in the pouring rain. The more things change, the more they remain the same. Joy forever seems to end in pain. Winter comes summer fades. Things that are lost, we tried to save. A moment of love, now it’s gone. I share this moment alone. Never understanding the wisdom of old. Fate will one day ease this wry soul. Then this world will not be so cold, And this moment I’ll never share alone. Tears of joy, in that day I’ll cry. My residing place will be with the birds that fly. This day can never be denied. Love and freedom can never be denied. Crying whispers, when will these days be, the day I fly free? A break in the rain, its time for a change. Soon tears will dry, releasing my pain. Hurt it fades, but love it saves. Whispers, there is no more rain Whispers the season has changed. |
