The Forsaken By William Thorpe |
I glory in the word freedom Now that’s meant to be Holding pity with emotions Of my joy set free Only to believe in things I cannot see, |
I am the second son of the son Spring out from heaven, I am that light in the midst of Eden Where the breads are leaven, |
Coming as the summer’s warmth Standing between trees, I stand before the beauty of my departure Gibing god thanks on my knees, |
I give up what I cannot keep Only to gain what I cannot lose, To see the color of rainbows run Beneath the clouds, and of blessings I cannot chose. |
