How do you hold on to a bag full of wishes?

A sack full of invisible hugs and kisses

Magical seeds made of nothing

Faith needed to help them grow into something

Maybe grow into something great, like one dream come true.

Or even opened doors of opportunity just waiting on you

A wish for freedom from behind bars

A wish for love to cover hurtful scars

A wish for a place one can call home

A wish for courage to keep one strong

A wish for a friend to always be by one’s side

A wish to wipe away all sadness one feels from inside

A wish to continue to cope

You hold on to a bag of wishes

With a rope made of hope
