Publisher's NOTES

December 2008

Dear Potential Donor,

We send a free copy of the CDM to any inmate that request one. Donations from our 2008 fundraising campaign have made it possible to increased our inmate subscription list by nearly 50%. Plus we will publishing two issues of CDM this year. In addition to the CDM, NDRAN corresponds with over 100 individual inmates helping them with their many needs - friendship, education, networking, case work. Your gift would amplify our outreach.

"Staying Out" is the main theme of this issue of the CDM. The job market for the free world has tightened up dramatically and appears to following a trend in that far into the future. So the prospects for an ex-con grow getting a job when first released from prison are growing exponentially..

Very little of the training in prison applies to the free world and

Many employers are not anxious to hire an ex-con when the labor pool of regular citizens is substantial.

Wishing you great success in the New Year,

Laird Carlson, Web Master/Publisher

PS All donations should be made out to NDRAN (National Death Row Assistance Network of CURE), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and are tax deductible.
