She Stole My Heart

By Eion Woodcraft

The moment I saw her,

She stole my heart,

I knew I was in love,

From the very start.

The way she laughs,

The way she smiles,

Fills me with joy,

Despite the miles.

I look at her picture often

So much, it’s tattered and torn,

The edges are frayed,

And the corner’s worn.

I love her so deeply,

Afraid I’m going to drown,

Don’t care if I do,

Gonna sink right down.

Smile and a wink, she’s got you,

Learned all that Cupid taught her,

No one’s more beautiful,

Have you seen my daughter?
