Hi!
I'm 27 years old and have been writing poetry for the last four years. I live in England's oldest recorded town, Colchester which is located in the south east of the country, just 30 mins from the coast and an hour from the capital, London. This hasn't always been my home; I was born in Cambridge and spent my youth in a sunny holiday town called Clacton On Sea.
I left home at 20 and moved to Colchester. I work for an international law firm (for brain-activity and steady money), as well as having three part-time jobs: fitness instructor, personal trainer, and Swedish masseuse (for helping others and the extra income is handy). I love to work (strange aren't I?), and I love to learn. I like to travel (albeit in style) and aim to visit a new country or place at least once a year. I enjoy: reading biographies and Stephen King novels; the movies; making new friends; cross-stitch and art/craft; and playing all kinds of sport.
Just last month (June 02), I got engaged to my boyfriend of four years, and we are currently looking at buying our first home together. I'm a complete commitment phobic (we've already split and got back together twice!) so it's going to be a real trial for our relationship!
I've been writing to my friend, Terry, who's on death row in North Carolina, for about three and a half years, and visited him for the first time in April 2002. I plan to return next year for another visit. It was the most amazing experience, and also very nerve-racking. Would we would get on with each other? Would the conversation run dry? As it turns out, we never stopped talking, smiling and laughing. We swapped memories both good and bad, and I believe we got a lot closer to one another than many people do in a year. I can't wait to see him again.

P.S. The photo is my first skydive jump last year! It was exhilarating and I may be doing another jump this September!
