Shakeerah Hameen

    Shakeerah Hameen graduated from Essex County College in New Jersey with a degree in Criminal justice. She worked at the Network for Victim Assistance in Pennsylvania with victims of violent crime and as a rape counselor, and met her husband while working at the Delaware Center for justice.
    Mrs. Hameen is currently employed at the Philadelphia YMCA, job training women in transition from welfare to work.
    A mother and grandmother, she volunteers her time to organizations committed to abolishing the death penalty.
